Almudena García
Almudena García Angulo studied Chemistry at the Autonomous University of Madrid (UAM). In 2022 she obtained a Master’s degree in Organic Chemistry at the UAM, completing her Master’s thesis in the area of chemical catalysis and organic synthesis under the supervision of Dr. Ramón Jesús Gómez-Arrayas and Dr. Pablo Mauleón Pérez.
In 2023, she has worked as a junior researcher on a research contract in collaboration with the company AITENEA BIOTECH and REPSOL in the design and synthesis of new additives in Refining and Polymer Chemistry. And currently she has started her PhD studies in the Organic Chemistry Program at the Autonomous University of Madrid for a collaborative project with AItena Biotech.
Nuria Campillo
PhD in Chemistry from UAM. Senior Scientist at the CIB Margarita Salas (CSIC) with more than 20 years of experience on Chemoinformatics and Bioinformatics as well as on drug development.
Sara Fernández
Sara holds a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Valladolid, where she studied a degree in Chemistry and a Master in Synthetic and Industrial Chemistry. Additionally, she studied Big Data at The Valley Business & Tech School. After finishing her PhD, Sara was a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Organic Chemistry at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid.
David QuesadaSenior Researcher
David holds a PhD in Artificial Intelligence from the Polytechnic University of Madrid, with a degree in Industrial Engineering and a Master in Artificial Intelligence. Regarding his experience, after finishing his doctoral research, David has been a data scientist at Repsol.

Industrial PhD. Graduate in Biomedical Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Madrid specializing in medical devices. Double International Master in Biomedical Engineering and Health Innovation participating in the EIT-Health program.
Guillermo MartínezIndustrial PhD Student
Guillermo Gutiérrez López studied Pharmacy at the Complutense University of Madrid. In 2021 he obtained a Master’s degree in Pharmaceutical Design and Engineering at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU). In 2022, he started working at IMDEA Energía as Research Assistant. In 2023, he started in the NanoBiotech group at IMDEA Nanoscience. And currently he has started his PhD studies in the Organic Chemistry Program at the Autonomous University of Madrid for a collaborative project with AItena Biotech and IMDEA Nanoscience.
Shin-Ho Kim LeeHead of R&D
Shin-Ho completed his PhD in organic chemistry at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid in 2020, specializing in synthesis methodology and organometallic catalysis. He also has experience in other fields of chemistry, having participated in research projects in materials science and nanochemistry during his training, as well as in organocatalysis in the core group during a stay at MIT (Cambridge, USA). Since then he has been working at AItenea, guided by the interest in exploiting the synergy between chemistry and AI.

Ramón GómezCo-founder
Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from UAM and postdoctoral studies at Emory University. He is currently Associate Professor at the Department of Organic Chemistry of UAM with more than 20 years of experience in Organic Synthesis. His research interests are focused on the development of novel strategies in homogeneous catalysis and mechanistic insights.
Guillermo MarcosSenior Researcher
PhD in Organic Chemistry with extensive experience in multidisciplinary laboratories and data analysis. Highly skilled in the development of new methodologies, design and synthesis of organic molecules of pharmacological interest of high added value, as well as separation and purification techniques. Proficient in the use of computational simulations, DFT calculations and kinetic models.
Joaquín Fernández-Escribano FernándezAdministrador
Responsible for the company’s finances. In addition, he acts as sole administrator and is the legal representative of the company.
